How it came together
The brief
Hargreaves Lansdown asked us to create a client case study film to support their campaign around pension consolidation. The goal was to show how HL simplifies financial planning — told authentically through the voice of a real customer.
The video needed to work across both organic and paid social, as well as on the HL website. This project is a great example of testimonial video production for financial services.
The shoot
We filmed this on location in Bristol, using a small three-person crew to keep things agile and relaxed.
The shoot lasted under three hours but captured a wealth of quality content, including interview, scenic b-roll, and product cutaways. Despite outdoor conditions (sun and wind!), we used natural light and thoughtful composition to keep the visuals soft, inviting, and professional.
The edit
We delivered one core hero film alongside a suite of cutdowns — around six different social edits tailored for paid advertising and organic channels.
The video communicates HL’s value through a customer lens, with clear messaging and a consistent tone of voice. It continues to perform well across platforms, helping audiences understand the simplicity and value of using HL’s app and services.

This video proves how effective short-form case studies can be in financial video marketing. With a tight turnaround and small team, we delivered high-impact, social-first content that still looks polished and brand-aligned.
