How it came together
The brief
Hargreaves Lansdown needed a standout promotional video for a retirement campaign centred on trust.
The goal was to contrast everyday public perceptions of pensions with genuine client experiences, reinforcing HL’s role as a trusted financial partner for retirement investing.
The shoot
We filmed street interviews in three UK cities — Bristol, Manchester, and Birmingham — asking people what they really understood about pensions, retirement, and investing.
These spontaneous, often humorous responses were paired with considered studio interviews featuring real HL clients. The result was an honest, layered narrative grounded in real-world insight.
The edit
We crafted a dynamic main campaign film and several tailored cutdowns for paid social media use and HL’s digital platforms.
The edit moved seamlessly between public vox pops and studio testimonials, highlighting the knowledge gap and building a case for HL’s reliability in a relatable, human way.
