'King Alfred’s Way'
Road.cc x Miss Grape
Branded mini-doc capturing the art of bikepacking through story, scenery and gear.
How it came together
The Brief
We were commissioned to create a short branded documentary for Road.cc to showcase Miss Grape’s range of bikepacking panniers.
The film follows a real ride along King Alfred’s Way, a 350 km cycling route through southern England, combining travel storytelling with subtle product integration.
The Shoot
Filmed over two fast-paced days, this was a minimalist cycling content production. With limited control over the route or ride conditions, our small crew worked flexibly to capture striking scenery, key gear moments and natural rider interactions. The focus was on authenticity and visual appeal, keeping the product front and center without it ever feeling staged.
The Edit
We combined rider-filmed clips, drone shots, and location b-roll into a cohesive and cinematic branded content film. A social teaser was also created to help maximise reach. The final video was crafted specifically for YouTube and outdoor marketing platforms, showcasing both the journey and the product in equal measure.
Packed with Purpose
This bikepacking video production is a great example of how branded outdoor content can be inspiring, authentic and effective.
With a lean setup and a clear narrative, the final film delivered strong visibility for Miss Grape while resonating with the Road.cc audience. A great ride, well told.
