How it came together
The brief
Fidelity commissioned us to create a short, engaging explainer video that would make the concept of compound interest clear and memorable for a broad audience. The aim was to break down a complex financial principle into simple, visual terms, helping viewers understand the value of investing early.
Fidelity wanted something unique, relatable and easy to digest, while still delivering the high-quality corporate video production they expect.
The shoot
We chose a clock shop in London as our location, using its shelves of timepieces as a living metaphor for the passing of time and the growth of investments.
Filming with a three-person video production crew plus on-screen presenter, we captured a mix of direct-to-camera delivery, dynamic b-roll, and close-up shots of different clocks to reinforce key points. The location gave the piece a distinctive, quirky look that stood out from more traditional finance explainers.
The edit
Our post-production team crafted a concise, visually rich edit, balancing presenter footage with cutaways and on-screen graphics to keep the information easy to follow. The final piece worked perfectly as both a standalone hero video and a social media video asset, helping Fidelity share the benefits of compound interest in a way that felt fresh and accessible.
