'Concrete Reflections'
Skateboarding reimagined through mirrors, motion and abstract visuals.
How it came together
The Brief
Worm approached us to produce a standout piece of branded sports content that pushed the aesthetic boundaries of traditional skate films.
The idea was to shoot in Barcelona with four semi-pro skaters, capturing not just the tricks but the mood, feel and atmosphere of the sport — all with a fresh, conceptual twist.
The Shoot
Filmed over two days across various Barcelona spots, this project combined street-level authenticity with a more stylised visual intent. The unique addition? Large mirrors used throughout to create distortions, reflections and layered compositions. The shoot was loose and fluid, matching the nature of the sport, but that meant creative control was limited — so the magic had to happen in post
The Edit
This is where creative video editing took the lead. We built a rich, smooth final film filled with bespoke transitions, custom VFX, and stylised overlays to enhance the reflective theme.
The final grade and rhythm of the piece leaned more toward art film than skate montage — giving it a unique flavour that elevated the Worm brand’s identity. We also delivered a short teaser to drive anticipation on social.
Mirror Moves
Concrete Reflections is a perfect example of how branded content can push boundaries — visually and creatively.
Despite tight timelines and a freestyle approach on location, the final film delivers a distinctive and polished take on skate culture that sets itself apart in the crowded world of sports content.
